Ingredients
- 2 1/4 cups (280 g) all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 cup (225 g) unsalted butter, softened
- 3/4 cup (150 g) granulated sugar
- 3/4 cup (165 g) brown sugar, packed
- 2 large eggs
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 cups (340 g) chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt.
- In a separate large bowl, cream the butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
- Beat in the eggs one at a time, then add the vanilla.
- Gradually mix in the dry ingredients until combined.
- Stir in the chocolate chips.
- Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto an ungreased baking sheet, leaving space between cookies.
- Bake for 9–11 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown.
- Let cool on the baking sheet for 2 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack.
Tips:
- For chewier cookies, chill the dough for 30 minutes before baking.
- Add chopped nuts for extra crunch.
- Sprinkle a little sea salt on top before baking for a sweet-salty flavor.
